For Kumamoto Earthquake Victims

Call for donations for the Kumamoto earthquake victims

PJA is now accepting donations to be delivered to the victims of the Kumamoto earthquakes. As widely reported on the media, the Kumamoto area in the Southern Island of Kyushu has been suffering since mid-April when the first of a series of strong earthquakes hit the area. The earthquakes, the largest disaster in Japan since the 2011 Tohoku tsunami/earthquakes, left dozens of people dead, hundreds injured and thousands displaced. As we did in the wake of the 2011 catastrophe, PJA, in our renewed effort, will extend our hands this time to people in Kumamoto. The recipient body or bodies, who will receive 100% of the total funds collected, will be identified before long after the careful selection by the PJA Board of Directors.

All members of the Board would like to express heart-felt condolences to the families of the deceased and wish speedy recoveries of the wellness of those affected.
